The new library in Sarpsborg is a natural gathering point for the city’s residents with its central location. The extension part is 1.800 m2 and has four stories. It’s built with glulam columns and beams together with CLT slabs and stabilizing walls. The roof structure is built with steel beams.
Degree of Freedom was responsible for the detailed design of timber and steel structures, and the production model of all timber elements.
