Project Description

Samling is a spectacular signature building characterized by complex geometry and detailing. The building is in the centre of Sand and was designed to include three different functions. One part includes offices for the Nord-Odal Sparebank1 employees. Above the bank there are two floors of apartments. The main feature of the building is the open and spacious library with high ceilings and exposed portal frames in timber.

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, nearly all building elements are timber, an environmentally friendly material with unique environmental, aesthetic, and sensorial qualities.

The building is completed and was opened to public in June 2020.
