The Ática group hired Degree of Freedom to develop the detailed design of the main communication link between two industrial areas in Quart de Poblet, over a new green area. The bridge is a 138m long, 5 span continuous beam over 4 twin-legged piers. It is an integrated solution in a green area, avoiding the traffic impact on the newly constructed park.
The Molí d’Animeta bridge is part of a large-scale urbanization project which consists of a single housing development of 119 new homes in Quart de Poblet.
This road bridge is a 138m composite bridge with a steel twin-box girder cross section and will act as the main element for integrating the new park below the bridge.
One of the key features of this structure is how it helps to preserve the local environment and ecology by creating this new traffic route saving the existing irrigation channels which have been declared an Asset of National Interest.
