Project Description

Finansparken was officially opened on November 30th, 2019 and it gathers Sparebank1 SR-Bank’s 750 employees together. The seven-storey building is approximately 14000m2 and is a timber structure, except for the four stabilizing cores of in-situ concrete.

The project achieved the BREEAM-NOR Outstanding certification and it became Norway’s largest commercial timber building.

The project is ground-breaking due to its timber-to-timber connections without steel. This is unusual, especially for such a large and tall timber building.

Service Provided

Structural engineering during architectural competition, concept, preliminary and detailed design. Technical assistance during construction.
