The City of Oslo wish to open up rivers that were earlier conducted through pipes and this project is a part of this ambition. One road and one pedestrian bridge cross the new river park. The project also includes landscaping creating park along the river.

A concrete channel has been designed parallel to the river basin, to allow for the water drainage in case the maximum level is reached. There has also been designed a culvert under the road that crosses over the river, with adjacent concrete walls to retain the soil and the road fillings. Regarding the pedestrian bridge, it consists of a unique piece of stone with railings, bearing onto concrete support pads.
